Ethiopia Tobacco Control Strategic Plan

The Ethiopian Food, Medicine and Health Care Administration and Control Authority
(FMHACA) would like to acknowledge Ethiopia’s National Tobacco Control Coordinating
Committee for developing this multi-sectoral strategic plan on tobacco control. The Authority
also acknowledges all stakeholders for their immense contribution to the enrichment and
finalization of this strategic plan and the WHO Country, the WHI Regional Office for African
Region and Mathiwos Wondu-YeEthiopia Cancer Society for their technical and financial
support.
Last but not the least, the Authority would like to specifically acknowledge members of sub-
committee of the National Coordinating Committee, namely; Mrs. Abrehet Gidey (EFMHACA),
Dr. Alemayehu Bekele (EPHA), Dr. Mussie G/Michael (FMOH,) Mr. Wassihun Melaku Belay
(WHO/Ethiopia), Mr. Zelalem Mengistu (MWYCS), Mr. Mengistab W/Aregay (WHO/
Ethiopia), Mr. Baharu Zewdie (EFMHACA), Mrs. Asnakech Alemu (EFMHACA), Mrs. Bitsat

strategic plan on tobacco control.
